Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce

Meeting the needs of an organization that is 725+ members strong means that there is always plenty to do! The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce has an ever-changing calendar of events and activities designed to facilitate member education, community engagement, networking and more. To ensure that Chamber members are updated on current events, news of these events is communicated in several ways.

Comox Valley Women’s Business NetworkNetworking Image

The Comox Valley Women’s Business Network is an energetic group of local business owners and professional women who meet monthly from September to June to network, hear top calibre speakers and market their businesses. The group has a membership of 70+ women who happily share valuable experiences, referrals and expertise with each other. The CVWBN includes entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals from retail, service, manufacturing, the arts, health, government, not-for-profit and more.

Business Networking International (BNI)

BNI (Business Network International) is a business and professional networking organisation that offers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly to gain new business by the passing and receiving of referrals. With chapters throughout the country and over 6146 chapters worldwide, BNI is the largest professional business networking organisation.

In the Comox Valley we currently have 2 existing chapters and one new chapter in development:

Corporate Connections Comox Valley

Corporate Connections is comprised of a group of forward thinking business people in the Comox Valley who are dedicated to building their respective companies through referrals, based on a foundation of proven integrity and value. Members may be associated with a large corporation or self-employed in a home-based enterprise.

The non-registered organization meets over lunch once a month. The purpose of the meetings is to provide members with an opportunity to interact with like-minded business people, share news and updates about their corporate accomplishments, and learn about each other though informal member-to-member presentations.

Membership in Corporate Connections is limited to a single representative from each industry sector and is by invitation only.

To qualify for membership, an individual (or corporation) must have established a solid working relationship with a current member or be recognized in the community as a business that provides a superior level of product or service excellence.

The Comox Valley Small Business Association (SBA) is an organization of energetic, dedicated, and serious business owners who value the opportunity to network, share, and learn with other like-minded business people. This organization was formerly known as the Comox Valley Home-Based Business Association (HBBA).

The Comox Valley Women’s Networking Group

The Comox Valley Women’s Networking Group is an informal group of local professional women who meet on a monthly basis for lunch and to network.

The intent of this networking group, according to its originator Mona Warren, is that this is a time to get together and have lunch, talk about whatever, and share information about our businesses or workplaces. The time belongs to the group – so there are never any speakers or special announcements.
